This is a chat that my friend/coworker Scott and I had this afternoon:
me: i forgot to thank you for logging into my favorite computer this weekend ;)
Scott: i left it locked just for you
me: you are so kind to me
Scott: i like to think so. i was trying to brighten your day
me: :) snehal was here too for that, and she had quite a laugh. she was the one that told me you did it on purpose :)
Scott: yes, i could have logged out and you would have never know i used your computer without permission. this way you knew of my transgression and were able to enjoy the calming time not being able to work during boot up
me: yes, i was able to do some yoga and chanting during the reboot
Scott: that must have been a site to see
why are we both so lazy as to not walk the 20 feet necessary to have this conversation face to face
me: true
google chat definitely reinforces laziness
i frequently chat with people who are also computing in the student computer area
its really kinda sad
Scott: "kinda sad"? you dont even talk aloud when you're within touching distance, wow. that explains how the 20 feet to my cube is too far for you to walk
me: if i had an iphone, i would probably never have to talk again
Scott: my brain hurts - too many jokes about that being a good thing. really though, i dont doubt it and that would be beyond kinda sad, it would be borderline pathetic.
me: perhaps even slightly sociopathic
Scott: no, ok yeah
and think really hard about that, you know, me saying something sociopathic
me: i have officially scared myself...i am huddled in the fetal position underneath the computer up front
Scott: another site to see i am sure, however, im too lazy to walk over and witness the fear. if you have your camera, can you film and post it for me
me: too lazy to reach for my camera phone
i guess it will just be a sight never seen
Scott: darn, not only am i missing out on you being horrified (something ive only seen when discussing over-ripe bananas), but you have also proven to be even lazier than myself ;)
